Pooja Dhingra is often called the Macaron Queen of India. This is accurate but, it misses her greater contribution to India’s food scene. She is the chef who took pâtisserie out of hotels and showed India how it should be done through her multiple Le15 ventures and delivery kitchens across India. Her own training (working with the world’s best pastry chefs), led her to raise standards all over the country and finally made pastry trendy. As if to prove that point, she is currently shooting for Masterchef India, the first pastry chef to breakthrough to a mass audience.
