Chalapathi Rao honed his culinary expertise during a 15-year tenure with ITC hotels, where he worked at the popular Dakshin restaurants. He later ventured out to open Simply South in Hyderabad, which quickly gained acclaim for its authentic yet elevated Southern Indian cuisine. Today, Rao is a celebrated figure in Hyderabad’s food scene, with his appearances on MasterChef Telugu further cementing his status as a regional culinary icon.
